Our History

Founded in 1951 by a Hungarian entrepreneur based in Morocco, Consortium Marocain (CM) has become over the years one of the leading importers, distributors and manufacturers of chemicals for Moroccan industry, across all sectors.

With 74 years of experience in trading and manufacturing chemical and parachemical products, CM has recognized expertise in the distribution of specialty chemicals.

Present in various business sectors (Textile, Adhesives, Paint, Construction, Cosmetics, Detergent, Food, Water Treatment and Leather), CM has established itself as a key player in Morocco.

Since 2023, the company is controlled by the Private Equity fund Valoris Equity Fund which holds over 87% of the capital.

Key Dates

The major milestones of our development

1951
Company founded, specializing in trading chemicals, auxiliaries, dyes and pigments for the textile and leather industries.
1973
Moroccanization of the company with the entry of majority Moroccan shareholders.
1990s
Launch of several activities, including emulsions, adhesives and alkyd resin for the paint sector.
2004
ISO 9001 certification - One of the first companies in the sector to obtain this recognition. Increase in industrial capacity.
2004 - 2007
Launch of water treatment, adhesive, cosmetic and industrial detergent activities. Partnership with Clariant for leather.
2011
Acquisition of a 10,000 m² plot near Casablanca to centralize activities and build a new modern facility.
2018
Move to the new modern Bouskoura factory in July 2018.
2022
Acquisition of 100% of the capital by Lab Services Maroc, held by Valoris Equity Fund.
2023 - 2025
Record sales years: progression from 100 MDH in 2022 to 110 MDH in 2023, then 125 MDH in 2024 and 174 MDH in 2025, with a budget target exceeding 200 MDH planned for 2026.
